Cambridge Exams in December

Some Tips For The Exams

Just to tell you that you are about to to do the selectividad exams, and there is something you can do, improve your English.

SPEAKING FCE EXAM

The Cambridge First Certificate in English Speaking Exam parts one and two.
As you know the examiner will ask you personal information in an interview (3 minutes)
Then you will have to speak without interruption for about a minute to compare and contrast two photos on a similar theme, and give your personal reaction to them.

  Task Strategy

• Make sure you don´t simply describe the pictures-your response should include hypothesis or speculation from the start.
• Keep talking, but try to finish within the time limit.
• Organise your ideas and express yourself coherently.
• When your partner is speaking, listen but don´t interrupt.

TOEFL tv: Reading Tips

 The teacher suggests a new strategy to more quickly understand the main points of reading passages on the TOEFL test. He is an English teacher from Panama.



Ok basically when you are taking your TOEFL test, generally in the reading part you take a long time trying to read from top to bottom of the reading. What you need to do is read the last paragraph of the reading and then read the first one. Then read the whole reading and you will see that it is very easy to complete all of the questions. This is anticipation. When you anticipate every single thing that you do in reading, you are creating schema in your brain and you can process the reading faster. This is my experiential learning process. Thank you.
