The Zen Wisdom of Alan Watts Animated by Creators of South Park.

Alan Watts began popularizing the teachings of Zen Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism in America during the 1950s. He taught at the Academy of Asian Studies in San Francisco, wrote Way of Zen and other bestselling books, gave talks on the radio (listen here), and developed TV programs introducing Americans to the seemingly exotic practice of meditation. Don’t miss his 1960 TV program called “The Silent Mind.”
Watts died almost 40 years ago, but his legacy remains alive, partly thanks to his son, partly thanks to vintage videos captured on YouTube, and partly thanks to people like Trey Parker and Matt Stone — that’s right, the creators of South.

It should surprise few to learn that Abraham Lincoln wrote poetry. But this fact about his life is dwarfed by those events that defined his political legacy, and this is also no surprise. Nevertheless, in the midst of the current Lincoln revival, the man and the statesman, I think it’s fitting to attend to Abraham Lincoln the poet. Certainly scholars have read his poetry in relation to his skillful prose and oratory. The Inquiry Institute tells us that “A question not asked is a door not opened.” The best question askers know how to open many doors, ___________________! The QuestionDay.com website encourages us to become an “outstanding question asker”. It tells us how we can build ___________________” to make us more successful in life by asking the right questions. ___________________ is to ask questions and fully using the power of questions. It is one of the first things infants do when they learn to talk. Small children ___________________ asking very difficult questions – just ask any parent!

The Inquiry Institute has a list of the top twelve questions that will ___________________. These include asking yourself exactly what it is you want, and then making sure your question answers this. Another good question is “How ___________________ about this?” Such a question can make you look at a situation ___________________ and give you new and better ideas and questions. There is also a question that gets you to look at a situation from ___________________ others: “What is the other person thinking, feeling, and wanting?” This may give you successful questions in a business deal. A follow-up question could be “How can I turn ___________________ situation?” The final question on their list is: “What is possible?” This is a great question to ask. Ask it today.
