At first, I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking, I could never __________ without you by my side
But then I spent so many __________ thinking, how you did me wrong
And I grew __________ and I learned how to get along

I should __________ changed that stupid lock
I should have made you leave __________ key
If I'd known for just one second you'd be back to bother me
Go on now, go, walk out the door, just turn around now

Weren't you the one, who tried to hurt me with goodbye?
Did you think I'd crumble? Did you think I'd lay down and die?
Oh, no, not I, I will survive
Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive
I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give
And I'll survive, I will survive, hey, hey
It took all the strength I had not to fall apart
Kept trying hard to __________ the pieces of my broken heart
And I spent, oh, so __________ nights just feeling sorry for myself

Did you think I'd crumble? Did you think I'd lay and die?
Oh, no, not I, I will survive

20th July the First man on the Moon
One small step
What are the five greatest achievements of mankind? I would imagine that within these five, the first man on the moon on 20th July 1969 would be included.
40 years ago, three human beings - with the help of many thousands of others - left our planet on a successful journey to our Moon, setting foot on another world for the first time. Tomorrow marks the 40th anniversary of the July 16, 1969 launch of Apollo 11, with astronauts Neil A. Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin Jr. aboard. The entire trip lasted only 8 days, the time spent on the surface was less than one day, the entire time spent walking on the moon, a mere 2 1/2 hours - but they were surely historic hours. Scientific experiments were deployed (at least one still in use today), samples were collected, and photographs were taken to document the entire journey. Collected here are 40 images from that journey four decades ago, when, in the words of astronaut Buzz Aldrin: "In this one moment, the world came together in peace for all mankind

Tour de France 20TH July
Tour de France
The Tour de France, probably one of the most demanding sporting events, is on at the moment, 5th - 27th July, so it would be appropriate to look at it in class. For those who do not know much about it there is a reading that explains the different stages, jerseys & teams. Have a look at the BBC article:
It's the biggest annual sporting event in the world and what's more it's free to watch. And it starts in Brest in Brittany, France on Saturday 5 July.
But for most Britons, the Tour de France remains a mystery.
No longer. Here's a beginner's guide to cycling's showpiece.
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
A leisurely 3,500 km (or 2,175 mile) bike ride around France and neighbouring countries. That's roughly the distance from London to Cairo or Tel Aviv and an incredible 15m people line the route.
ARE ALL STAGES THE SAME?
No. There are three different types of stage, all with its own particular challenges
THE WINNERS' JERSEYS
The biggest prize in cycling is a yellow jersey in Paris. This signifies overall victory in the Tour de France, an honour won seven times by Lance Armstrong and five by Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merckx, Bernard Hinault and Miguel Indurain. There are also smaller awards to be won, each denoted by a different coloured jersey to help spectators spot the category leaders.
Yellow: This is the jersey everyone wants
Green: The sprinter's prize goes to the most consistent stage finisher and is normally worn by one of the big powerhouses of the field. They just try to survive the mountains.
IS THE TOUR HARD?
Just a bit

The Way We Were
the way we were (in concert) by Barbara Streisand
Mmm. Mmm.
memories light the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories of the way we were.
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind
smiles we give to one another
for the way we were.
Can it be that it was all so simple then
or has time rewritten every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
tell me would we? Could we?
Memories, may be beautiful and yet
what's too painful to remember
we simply choose to forget
So it's the laughter we will remember
whenever we remember
the way we were.
